Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew Review (Elcanor)
I first played Shadow Tactics enjoyed it very much, then I played Desperado III, which I too enjoyed very much, and now I have played the last and final game the Shadow Gambit, which I also enjoyed very much.
Quite sad that this is the last and final game, as I like how they make stealth games. It's quite unique and there aren't many games like it on the market, so very sad to lose such a huge developer for this genre.
This game implemented the mechanic of saving and loading into the story, very beautifully, and I have never seen it be done in such a way. The overall story and little character stories, as well as the captain quests, were charming. Nothing really mind breaking, but it was definitely enjoyable. This is also the best game for completionist, as you have the most freedom and quite a lot of badges to collect if you want to.
If I had to rank all games it would be Desperado III in last, because I found the characters and story to be the most lackluster, apart from the voodoo woman which I absolutely loved. Second is Shadow Gambit, as it has the most creative abilities and quite charming stories and in first place Shadow tactics, as I really bonded with each character liked the setting the most and had in my opinion the best story.
