Secret Neighbor Review (JazBoii)
I would recommend Secret Neighbor because personally I've had a lot of fun on the game. I made a really good group of friends through this game back in the early days and I'm still friends with them now.
The gameplay involves finding keys to unlock the basement door, whilst also avoiding the neighbor in disguise. You need to be careful who you trust and act stealthy. You might also be chosen to be the neighbor, and then your goal is to catch the kids before they make it into the basement. My only complaint about the gameplay is that it gets repetitive after a while, but you can always join a custom lobby and try out some custom maps, or even make your own!
When playing, you can choose a kid and neighbor class. The classes all have their own unique abilities that could help you in a variety of situations, so choose wisely depending on which role you normally play in the team! (Eg: If you normally hunt for keys, choose Detective. If you find yourself in combat a lot of the time, use Scout or Brave.)
You can use voice-chat to communicate with the other players, but you do have to be mindful that some people in game like to either troll or don't use voice chat at all, and the voice chat is based on proximity, so if you're on your own at the far end of the map, then nobody will hear you. You can also communicate through the in-game quick chat, however not that many players take it seriously.
You can also purchase cosmetics through the in-game shop using either coins (earn within game) or tickets (rewarded for challenges or paid for with irl money), although there is room for improvement, especially with tickets as you barely get any for completing challenges.
Now the game does have its downsides. There has always been a presence of hackers in the game due to the lack of anti-cheat, and they are pretty noticeable too. The game has pretty mediocre servers too, and you can get disconnected a lot even if you have amazing WiFi. And I'm not even going to start listing all of the bugs and glitches that are in this game, because there are simply too many. But if you think you can manage all of this, then I would totally recommend this game to people, especially fans of the Hello Neighbor franchise.
