Salt and Sanctuary Review (Romen Rhenzi)
just platinum the game. 9/10
Pro:
1. The combat is good and it feels satisfying to kill mobs. (played with greatsword and axe + shield , havent try range weapons or magic.) Shields are really good since they can block all attacks, combined with a timed roll and you are quite good to go. There are 3 combos , all light , all heavy and light+heavy that will sends enemies to mid air to follow by air combos depending on weapons.
2. Boss fight is fun, and there are many bosses. (know boss attack and get good = win ) Also there are many types of normal and unique mobs.
3. Map artistic style is good.
4. There are a lot of weapons and armors to collect throughout games. ( dont have to farm for good weapon as transmuting can upgrade your weapon to any weapons of the same type as long as you have materials, which are easily got by playing the game)
5. The number of enemies along the way to save point is reasonable. Makes exploration challenging, but not overly difficult.
6. Many good secrets area. Gives rewards for checking every corners.
Con.
1. Only like 3 bgm are in the game. doesnt make it feel boring, but having more is better.
2. The ways from savepoint to boss area somestimes are pain. (long, or full of enemies that cannot walk past through)
3. The game doesn't really tell you anything. ( like I realize that each armors stats can be checked halfway through the game lol.)
4. The game hates you sometimes. Some bosses are pain.
5. No map. the pathway is not that linear. Doesnt know where to go . Walk back and forth many times cause dont knowwhere to go and the map is big.
