Rune Factory 3 Special Review (Seif)
My favorite of the Rune Factory games
As a port of a DS game it works well, all of the functionality was preserved but it's quite bare-bones as ports go with the most notable thing being that the original opening song of the game was changed to a new one so we lost the amazingly haunting song that is "HAPPINESS" by Yazumi Kana (which you should go listen to right now if you never have).
This game is a farm-simulator RPG that leans heavily into the RPG aspect with multiple weapons, weapon types, spells and level-ups, you have to engage in combat quite frequently to progress in the farm aspect so it is good to know what to expect. I like this game quite a ways more than Rune Factory 4 (although that one would be the best one to start with if you're new) this one is more compact with a shorter story, incredible characters, amazing soundtrack and smooth gameplay with tons of quality of life features.
All in all give this game a chance if you're into real time action RPG's and want to be surprised by how in depth and addictive the farming element is.
