Ruined King: A League of Legends Story Review (Pellah)

TL;DR Even tho I really enjoyed the combat system, which is what got me to credits, I don't feel like I can recommend this game because of the lackluster story and the technical state of the game. If you want a good turn based combat system and don't care about the story, then go ahead and play the game, but be warned: you're ready to encounter mutliple bugs every single session
TECHNICAL STATE
The game is full of bugs, some are way too consistent to be acceptale. Stuff like: not being able to see visually the ultimate of a character (I have NEVER seen Miss Fortune lvl3 Ultimate in-game, everything but Miss Fortune appear to be invisible); a character's passive not working as intended (Some Illaoi tentacles randomly won't attack the enemies and won't apply Braum's stack if you instantly attack with Illaoi before the Tentacles attack animation has ended). I regularly had terrible bugs that forced me to restard the game: I once got stuck while fishing because unintentionally opened the bag, I also had to reapeat an important bossfight towards the end of the game because one of my champion got stuck after giving him the input. While fishing, I also had mutiple fish get stuck on nothing for enough seconds to flee for no reason at all. I encountered multiple and gamebreaking bugs in every single aspect of the game.
It's not that I don't recall a single clean session withou bugs, it's that I don't recall a single session that I wasn't frustrated about them.
STORY
The Story, narrative and characters are pretty bland imo. Characters have little to no depth nor character development, the "character development" is basically delivered through a single event for each champion, in a shallow way and with little impact to the story/characters. These characters really feel like an hollow mask, the best way I can describe them is the following: I played Leage for many years without caring too much about the lore, everything I knew about these champions was from their lines of dialogue in game and this game added little to nothing. Also their backstories are delivered in a very shallow and unintersting way.
COMBAT
The combat system is definitely good, unique and interesting. If you're looking for a challeng I'd suggest to go straight for the hardest difficulty as I played the game blind on hard and it was pretty easy, no boss lasted for more than 5 minutes and I never died outside of the Tavern fights, also almost never had to use potions (got my "use 10 potions" achievement basically 3/4 into the game lol). The only issue is with enemies not really encouraging you to properly use mana or the lanes system as most of their attack are not that strong/punishing, you really can find a simple spell cycle and repeat that over and over through the whole game and bosses without caring about their speical attacks, even on hard it's those attacks are not punishing enough. I gotta say that Boss fights were a bit disappointing: too easy, only one phase, too fast; also the 2 bosses with a strong gimmick were a bit boring and didn't feel interactive, while the other bosses unique moves had so little impact that it won't require the player to adapt (Final Boss included).
