Rooftops & Alleys: The Parkour Game Review (gymjinn)
First off, I absolutely love the game! The mechanics, creativity, and flow are incredible, and I’m always finding new ways to enjoy it. Huge praise to the team for creating such an engaging experience! That said, I had an idea for a new feature that could enhance gameplay even further—introducing Wall Kick-Offs to expand trick possibilities and movement mechanics.
Currently, we have the ability to grapple walls, which is awesome, but I noticed there’s no option to kick off walls dynamically. Adding a Wall Kick-Off mechanic would open up new opportunities for tricks, combos, and creative movement. Here’s how I envision it working:
1. Activation: While running toward a wall, hold Left Click and press T after jumping (Spacebar) onto the wall.
2. Execution: Your character kicks off the wall in the opposite direction or a chosen direction (based on input) with style. This could trigger animations like backflips, somersaults, or other acrobatic moves.
3. Integration with Tricks: Similar to how the F and R keys enable tricks and combos, this new mechanic could add another layer of depth, allowing players to chain moves together seamlessly.
This addition would make movement feel even more fluid and exciting while giving players more freedom to express themselves through creative trick combinations. It could also be a great way to connect lines or escape tight spots in gameplay.
Thanks again for such an amazing game! I hope this suggestion resonates with you as much as it excites me. Keep up the fantastic work!
This version keeps your ideas intact while organizing them in a way that’s clear and easy for developers or other players to understand. Let me know if you’d like any further tweaks!
Imagine doing your tumble then your approaching a wall instead of rag dolling adding that wall kick sequence can be so easily universal for all situations just like f and r key. I just think it would be beautiful function to add in since you already know that other functions in they key locations would be a no brainer to add making it another slide addition trick section.
