RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition Review (Der Liebe Frankie)

It was a choice between this and some other roller coaster game. I had already played this many years ago and enjoyed it, and when I saw that the other game had rather invasive copy-protection 3rd-party software required as part of its install, I decided I'd go back to this. It was on sale after all.
This is almost identical to RCT2 as far as the controls go - but it has the added bonus of allowing you to ride your roller coaster in first person view, and it comes with all the DLC. I love the tycoon aspect of the game - juggling where to spend money and how long to wait before building more.
Probably my favorite feature is the auto-completion wizard button. Build your roller coaster until its half-finished and then click that button and the game tries to figure out the rest for you automatically! It's fantastic, and lets me be lazy, and can also provide some cool ideas along the way, plus it can figure out how to navigate in tight places, so it removes a lot of the tedium of designing a coaster.
The other cool feature compared to RTC2 is that you don't need 3rd party software to prevent crashes - this whole package seems to work fine at least on Win10. That, and the shaders in this are a little better.
I guess there's some dramatic history behind this game and distributors which is why it wasn't available on Steam for quite a while. Nice to see it here.
