Rocket League Review (Retribution)
tbh i love this game and still play it. BUT, the only reason for that is to reach gc which i am getting close to doing. This used to be the only game i ever played for 4 years straight. I had no interest in playing any other game because it was just that good in my opinion. The community was great and the devs really cared about the game and it showed. Psyonix had something special and the game grew to a massive size as far as the number of players goes. The championships were always entertaining and competitive you never could tell who would win on any givin day. Fast forward to now under epic having control and theres where the game has its problems. Toxicity has always been a problem and yes its not a companies fault for it so we will ignore that, but this game prolly has one of the most toxic player base no matter wat rank you are at. The gamepass has lost its value as far as even being interesting to consider buying, the trading community was killed as soon as epic took over which is where alot of players found enjoyment because items actually had value, now black markets (which are supposed to be extremely rare to get) are now easily attainable in the store, defeating the purpose of even calling items rare or very rare because they are all common to get unless you dont pay for anything ever. Before epic took over that was possible because the items had value to the players but not in todays market of the game. The servers are starting to deminish as far as stability goes and there are some days where nobody can find a match for what ever reason or it takes a long time to do so. In recent times people have found a way to put ai bots into ranked matches of which have impossibly perfect ground mechanics. This is going to ruin the ranked scene for sure because in my opinion epic doesnt care to look after this game, only to make the profit they saw they could make and let the game kill itself. It saddens me to write this review about a game that i loved so dearly for 6 years but i feel it is necessary even if its after the game was removed from steam
