Road 96: Mile 0 Review (InvalidBeast456)
This is the prequel to one of my favourite games of all time: Road 96. Mile 0 is great, however I think Road 96 (the original) is better. Simply because its longer, bigger and has lots of replay value because of the game's procedural aspects. Mile 0 has 3 main locations to go to, however Road 96 has a seemingly endless amount. Because of this there is not really that much of a difference between two playthroughs unless you pick different choices. I do, however think the music of Mile 0 is a step up from the original. The music in Road 96 was some of the best video game music out there, and there is an obvious budget increase in Mile 0. The graphics in Mile 0 are slightly better than Road 96's however both games have fairly good graphics. A new thing that was added was the new rides, they are very fun and one of the game's best aspects, beat by its story. Also you could play either this game or the original first, it is mostly just an origin story for Zoe, who is focused on a lot in the first game. I would recommend playing the first game at some point probably before this, but it is up to you. Also one of the key main differences between this game and the first is that in the first you don't play as the main character. There were 6 or 7 main characters in the first one however the one the game seemed to focus on was Zoe who you play as in this game. However the main characters for this game are Zoe and Kaito (which you play as) It is more of a spin off than a mainline game. I feel like this is sort of keeping the hype up for a sequel to the original. The story as well is sad and funny, with the ending (at least the one I got) being heartbreaking. This is a great game and I recommend getting it.
