RimWorld Review (Hrizalida)
At first, I was surprised why my colonists didn't want to engage in romance. But it turned out that the game had generated three male characters - a son, a father, and a grandfather. They survived for about a year. One day, the storyteller offered me a chance to help an escaping woman slave. 'Finally, a woman!' I thought.
But I underestimated the challenges, and in the end, the son was severely wounded and eventually died. The father was consumed by grief over the death of his son. Because of this, he suffered a mental breakdown and dug up his son's corpse to mock it. The grandfather was in for a surprise when he saw his grandson's body on the dining table. As a result, the grandfather had a psychotic break and killed his own son. And due to the death of his son, the father fell into a coma.
I just wanted a woman in the colony!
Rimworld is an incredibly immersive game (more addictive than drugs) with an incredible number of generated stories! On the other hand, it's challenging, especially when everyone dies, and you have to start over. But once the settlement was established, defenses were in place, I suddenly realized that the game had lost its appeal, and I no longer felt like exploring and waiting.
I have this game downloaded as a remedy for gaming impotence. Once a year, I definitely dive into it and get hooked for ten to fifteen hours. But unfortunately, I never have the strength to progress any further.
I'll probably come back here in another year or so.
