Pros
(I) Good theme
Each stage is so unique that feels like entering different world for each part and NPC is so realistic, there is baby, disabled person, granny, big chungus, and a kid.
(II) Balance between action and horror
These are really blend each other, looks like an action game at first glance, but there are places where there are jumpscares, insta-kills, or where you have to run/hide without being able to fight back.
(III) Vast game setting
Very useful for low-end PC, taste or habit in keybind, but sadly there is no option to change subtitle's font (yet), the one like next DLC is pretty neat.
(IV) Different save files
Always come in handy, and yes you can overwrite from one to another save file.
(V) No QTE and button mashing
Actually I don't mind QTE, but button mashing is different thing, especially if you're playing on higher FPS, well this game have none, so it's all good.
(VI) Difficulty is well adapted
The game difficulty can be exactly what you want, boring because of how easy it is, or frustrating.
There are 12 levels separated by 4 difficulties, this level is invisible, and can change depending on how you play, if you play well, this level will increase, and vice versa.
These are levels in each difficulty. Story: Casual Lv.1 Standard Lv.3 up to Lv.7 Hardcore Lv.8 and Lv.9 VoS Lv.12 Mercenary: Part 1 Lv.2 Part 2 Lv.10
(VII) New Game+
TBH all game that have story in it, NG+ is a must, I mean the ability to repeat story (boss/unique fight) with extra reward is very nice to have, since NG+ is always optional, because without NG+, game will stale in the end, and to make it new/fresh, it will cost all of your source, mean starting from scratch when you have nothing, unless there is permanent upgrade on it, well luckily this game have this.
Neutral/Cons
(VIII) No way to detach weapon part and downgrade them
In RE4 and RE5, when you buy new weapon, their stat will be new (no upgrade), but this is fine since you can always upgrade it later, RE5 is even better, that you can separate 2 same weapon, the one that full upgrade, and the other one that's new without upgrade, but in RE8, once you upgrade your weapon and/or attach weapon part on it, it will be permanent (unless you revert your game progression or starting new game with new save file). maybe this isn't much, but it will always be better to have additional option.
