Remnant II: The Forgotten Kingdom Review (Mca)

I don't understand what people expect from these DLCs. It's little expansions of 10 bucks over the original assets, certainly to assure a bit of money from what have been made on Remnant II and before their next game I guess. It's a big team but no triple A either. It's only guesses but Remnant II must have asked kind of a lot of time and ressources for what it is, and making fully new environments with room to room random generation is risky and very demanding.
Anyway, I saw some people saying they did it in 2 hours or so / or less. This is a lie, or they rushed like Sonic, but in my opinion, this is not the point of the game. Of course it's short if you just run from primary objective to primary objective. Even the base game is if you do that way. But if you want better gear, know more about the lore, or just explore for the sake of curiosity, it's taking a lot more. It took me around 5 hours on my first playthrough. And I certainly didn't discovered every rooms and events because of how the game works (always needs multiple reruns with random generation to see it all).
So yeah, this one might be a tad below than the precedent DLC, which had more original stuff based on the Losomn thematic. But it's not that bad either and certainly doesn't deserve all that hate, for a 10 bucks DLC, I repeat myself. It's new rooms, new monsters, and new content based on Yaesha (and the colors and vegetation here, oh man). I enjoyed the lore and story of that DLC, which leaves it open to interpretations. It's not manichean, and you can't easily say which side is bad or good and I liked that. Bosses were pretty neat too, animations are still impressive, and the gameplay still holds wells. Always feels good to play and dodge these attacks and then shoot everywhere like crazy. Some rooms makes you play like an Indiana Jones, other are full survival almost horror, in the fear of what lies deep in the ground.
I don't know, if you love the base game maybe wait for a price off and try it out, you shouldn't be let down.
