Remnant: From the Ashes - Subject 2923 Review (Malcolm)
I think it's an awesome DLC, it should've been a part of the base game really. At the end of the base game it felt that many questions remain unanswered, also the ending is somewhat lackluster. What happened to Harsgaard and how the dreamer project progressed? Why is no one congratulating the Wanderer with the victory and it all looks like nothing has really changed?
All the answers lie here. It seems that there is more lore here than in the base game, and the ending, which I won't spoil for you, seemed a lot more conclusive. The locations, in my opinion, are very well made. There's the countryside without significant Root presence, which is a nice change, then there's another ward with interesting secrets you need to uncover while delving into its bowels, and when you finally unlock the main chamber, there's a whole another world with quite interesting bosses and characters. Said characters directly connect with the reports you could find in the base game and tie into the story of Remnant II.
I haven't got a slightest clue why anyone would be so against the DLC. Tons of lore, story development, interesting locations and characters, and nice items as well. If you finished the base game and are into the story, this DLC is an abosulte must have.
