Red Matter 2 Review (Juandisimo)
One of the best VR games to date. It's an incredibly slow and methodical exploration puzzler that makes you feel involved in the environments. The devs understood what makes VR special, and that is an emphasis on physics based interactions that sell the world for high-class immersion. Combat sections are far and few in-between, don't go in expecting amazing combat set pieces as that is not the game's goal. The minimal combat is only there to service the puzzle solving and gives you an extra obstacle to manage when solving puzzles.
My only complaint would be that while the overall story was fantastic, the writing is sometimes just hilariously bad. Some lines of dialogue are the most generic, tropey nonsense that can sometime take you out of the experience for a second. Nothing too terrible but definitely worth mentioning.
Overall I would give this game a solid 8.5/10.
