Red Dead Redemption 2 Review (Mosho Games)

I played this for the first time when it first came out on an Xbox One X, and I was deep in alcoholism. I enjoyed it back then, but there are honestly only parts that I was even able to remember because I was such a heavy drinker.
Fast forward to now, and I am going on 3 years sober from alcohol, and I figured I would purchase it on Steam, both because I want to replay it, and also, even on my current gen Xbox Series X (where I still own the game on the Microsoft Store) the game is locked to 30FPS. Maybe it's because I got a gaming PC in the meantime, but I honestly simply cannot deal with 30FPS anymore. (Also it's kind of funny because I off and on have been playing it on the Steam Deck also, and achieving close to a steady 45FPS on it).
This game has been an absolute gem to play through the second time, and in many ways, the first time again. Such deep mechanics, such an immersive world, an amazing story, and just a delight to lose myself in for multiple hours at a time. I think I am getting close to the end of the game again, and I felt like Rockstar and those looking to play the game deserved to see a review that reflects just how amazing it is. I bought it during a sale on Steam for $20, and it feels like an absolute steal, because this is more than just a game. It's like a universe that you step into. Many game developers only dream of achieving something with this much depth, realism, and greatness.
All in all, 10/10 - I 100% recommend this game to anyone looking for hands down the best wild west video game ever created.
August 20th Update - I guess I remember even less than I initially thought, because I was in fact not nearing the end of the game. I was in chapter 4 of 6 chapters. And wow... just wow. I had tears well up a couple of times playing this since I wrote my initial review. I STILL am not entirely finished witth the game, as I am in the epilogue, and there are two parts of the epilogue I believe.
Thank you for the awards and helpful marks, it struck my heart that people cared enough to read my experience with the game.
I may update again after the epilogue, or not. But just know, this game is a true gem, and I appreciate Rockstar and all of you for the experience. Be kind to yourselves and one another.
August 27th edit - I finally, actually, beat the game. It is 10 out of 10 from start to finish. I recommend taking the time to explore and experience the elaborate world of Red Dead, while also closely following the story as you slowly progress. I'm off to Red Dead online now, and this will be my last update. My playtime past now will be testament to whether Red Dead Online is good enough to enjoy. Or maybe it is me just enjoying that amazing single player once again.
