Rakuen Review (ava tellaz)
The story lines are kind of cool albeit kind of saccharine and the art style is really pretty and fun. The worlds are quite engagingly built with nice variation and cool character design. I think this is a better game for kids/teen audiences or casual gamers though, since the puzzles themselves are extremely easy to solve, so maybe not all that engaging for gamers. There aren't many real secrets to be discovered since the game play is a tad bit too straightforward, but I like the moving between places once it gets going.
I am also not partial to quite the amount of text based dialogue as this game had especially towards the end. With no other job for the player for many minutes but tapping enter and reading is not really my thing, I prefer games to be more interactive all of the time.
I found the repetition of the vocal song(s it sounded like the same song but im not sure) in the game really WAY too cheesy for me and wished there was a way to skip the singing parts which were really unnecessary and boring. They kind of took me out of the game and had me rolling my eyes and pressing mute every time, especially since it happened more and more in the end, like every 10 minutes. It got annoying instead of eliciting an emotional response. The actual background music in the game was always great and varied though.
Perhaps too much influence from games like Undertale made the ending feel way too familiar and not all that creative or up to the actual game play leading up to it. But all in all it was a pretty positive experience regardless of these minor things and I ended up playing it through in a couple of days. Recommended when in the mood for something fairly cute and easy to play through in a few days.
