Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army Review (StoicZ221)

This game is more than just a remaster, it's a beautiful way to remake a game for both old and new fans. They truly took away some of the elements that made the original game unbearable (like figuring out your own way now being replaced with actual objectives in the map) while also keeping elements that make this remaster still feel like the original (such as the camera being at set places rather than you being able to control it)
Combat wise the game feels a bit easier than the first game, especially now being able to summon two demons instead of one. I've also noticed that it is very easy to level up (or at least with the usage of DLC) I have been able to get to level 20 without doing any encounters in the demon realm but simply using the items given at some DLC's
I'm kind of surprised they decided not to allow players to fuse until after the first visit to the demon realm. In the original you were able to meet up with dr victor as soon as you enter tsukudu-cho
The trophies so far look quite the similar to your average atlus game with the only "grindy" part being getting all demons in your list, but so far the trophies are mostly based on gameplay.
To conclude it all I believe this remaster has a lot of potential to make new players enjoy the SMT franchise (even though Raidou is not really following the traditional JRPG style SMT tends to have) and so far I have been experiencing nothing but good stuff. My only complaint is how the game tends to have a frame drop every now and then, which I believe is nothing but a minor optimization issue.
