Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army Review (JaysonTMH)
I'm a fan of the originals and this remaster(might as well just be called remake) is phenomenal so far.
dialogue is noticeably different in areas from its initial version but that's a valid thing to do, makes it feel a bit newer for people who have prior experience despite overall being the same story.
there's a lot of additions and overall improvements I've appreciated but i wont go into detail until i'm fully through with the revisit and feel the need to do so. i will say though that one odd decision that i felt was how they directly placed some KA case files into this remaster, i dont know why they'd do that of all things... i'm assuming they'll probably make continuations of them in KA if that happens and that's the reason?
regardless, i'm very much hoping the director gets to make a third entry in the near future.
Continuation:
As of now I've beaten the game and done all sidequests ( that're available to a first run)
From what I could notice, there was a decent amount of changes/additions to the writing that by the end made me more appreciative of it: the entire finale has more flair and the dialogue that delves further (both here and in changes for past scenarios) overall make the experience richer and adds a bit more into the world.
the additions to this were great: side quests adding variety and also a few cameos, combat being astronomically improved over the original and way more fun, the rewriting + slight redirection of the story itself, and a ton of QoL improvements that i cant list (the healer being free is one i will though. that one's a godsend from what it used to be).
I've had a great time delving into the game again and I'll probably do another run in the future.
