Prison Architect: Going Green Review (thewanderingoutsider)
If I could choose a neutral recommendation I would. I honestly feel kind of dirty buying this as farming, "green" energy and recycling was something that already existed as a free mod...although to be the fair the DLC implementation of these ideas has more chains involved...at least with the farming. So if you want something that adds something to the base experience, well I guess this DLC does what it says on the tin. The asking price is still kind of up in the air...I'd recommend getting it on sale.
Not going to lie though, the amount of bugs in this game is absolutely abysmal. As someone who hasn't played PA for a while until this DLC came out I was completely shocked at the number of bugs that seem to be present even when I disable all of my mods...from visual errors, some prisoners moving way too slowly to systems like weather and temp and even recording the number of released prisoners not actually being recorded properly. Even though these errors are mostly tolerable and you can completely ignore some of them by choosing to disable certain game mechanics, it still doesn't make it okay.
So let's just make it clear Paradox, I'm only giving this a thumbs up because the DLC does add something to the base game in my experience but fix your damn bugs. Also, am I just crazy that I expected the glasshouse "free update" to add a...greenhouse glasshouse to grow crops indoors instead of just recycling and cosmetic gardens...good lord.
