PowerWash Simulator: SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack Review (CanOfBeans)
I love the base game, but I have to be honest. This DLC feels really lazy.
A couple of the jobs are alright. You get to clean the exteriors of Spongebob, Squidward and Patrick's houses (technically the inside of Patrick's house too, but it's just a chair, TV and lamp). You also get to clean the exteriors of the Krusty Krab and the Chum Bucket. These jobs are perfectly fine. The highlight, oddly enough, is cleaning the invisible boatmobile. The concept is genuinely interesting. But the rest of the jobs are just...not good. You get to clean one of those generic orange fish buses and the Patty Wagon, both of which are short and boring. And cleaning the Mermalair is just flat out tedious.
As the first paid DLC, I feel like this should have set a new bar, but it hasn't. There are so many other places they could have had us clean. Why not the interiors of Spongebob and Squidward's homes, or the interiors of the Krusty Krab and Chum Bucket? I would have loved to have gone to Sandy's dome and tree house. We could have gone to Weenie Hut Jr's, or Mrs Puff's boating school. Heck, imagine if we got to clean the Flying Dutchman's ship. This DLC just feels like wasted potential, and even for $8 I can't recommend it.
