PowerWash Simulator: Shrek Special Pack Review (Silenzeio)
The Shrek Special pack adds five levels based on locations from the classic Dreamworks series of films, notably from Shrek and Shrek 2. The assignments within range from cleaning up a section of Duloc's main street, Hansel's Honeymoon Hideaway, Shrek's Swamp, Fairy Godmother's Potion Factory and the Dragon's Lair.
As a knight of the Court of Sprayalot, you can't just start cleaning the world of Far Far Away without looking the part. Like the Warhammer 40k DLC, the Shrek levels outfit the player in a unique knight armor outfit and Prime Vista PRO sword reskin. All the equipment needed to dispatch the dirt that plagues these fairy tale locations.
Notable characters from the movies such as Lord Farquaad, Shrek and Donkey will also guide the player through each level with some contextual backstory and messages throughout your deep cleaning.
Much like the Alice's Adventures DLC, the levels in this pack are rather decently sized if not slightly smaller than what was featured in the previous licensed addition. Nothing as great and tall as the Caterpillar's Mushroom and as lengthy as the Mad Tea Party but all five levels in this DLC pack will require quite some time on the player's behalf.
Like all other paid DLC for Powerwash Sim, the Shrek Special pack comes with an additional ten achievements to collect. Five for completing each level, one "clean first", one "clean last" and three miscellaneous achievements.
Overall, much like the Alice's Adventures pack, the Shrek Special DLC is another great example of providing value for the time spent playing these levels. Weather in solo or co-op most of the jobs will take some time to complete. Perhaps FuturLab really took onboard how well received the Alice's Adventures levels were by the community for being great location jobs and have decided that's where the direction lies in future DLC. I see the Shrek Special as another instant fan favorite and comes as an easy recommendation from me.
