Poppy Playtime Review (Starfruuit)
It's pretty good overall but Chapter 4 still needs some work. There are some bugs however many have been fixed, but the characters introduced were mismanaged in my opinion. Not terrible by any means but could've been better.
For example,Pianosaurus and the Nightmare Critters were not as impactful as I thought they would be, and the Doctor's bossfight is barely even that. But when it comes to explaining the characters of the Doctor and Doey, they do a great job.
For Doey they use both spoken and visual storytelling to show his character. Visually, in his monster form he has three different heads each representing the children in him however, one of them looks angry while the others seem sad. This is told in a tape shortly before the encounter talking about Kevin who is a problem child inside of Doey which could make him aggressive towards his allies. With the Doctor, I sort of understood his reasoning and honestly really like him as a character. I'm gonna spoil much on it here because it makes much more sense playing it then reading/watching it.
In case you haven't realized yet, the story is great and I am hyped for the next (and most likely final) chapter but I want them to let the next one have more time in the oven so it doesn't have the security breach repuatation, iykyk.
