Police Simulator: Patrol Officers Review (Onyx)
Surprisingly this game is actually pretty good, and as far as the Police Sim gaming market goes, this is one of the only games that might stand to be the best out there. The problem lies within the company however. They push DLC after DLC and cram more and more pay to use content down your throat with almost every update. Their only actual content added DLC the Highway Patrol DLC, is even more bug filled than the base game. I have been playing this game since the early access and beta and unstable builds. Yet they cant seem to fix ANY of the bugs that get reported to them. The company that owns the game, would rather push out more content, and beg for positive review bombing on their DLC rather than acknowledge the fact that it is broken and in some cases unplayable. I would love to leave a positive review on a game I have put almost 100 hours into. But when cars drive through my accident scenes like ghosts, people float in the air and moonwalk 4 feet above the ground, cars randomly "hit" your car, and the prisoner transport van parks across the street making you listen to the "I lost the arrestee" ping every 2 seconds for an entire 90 min shift. It doesn't a positive review. Despite the company begging for them. On top of all that. Sometimes the game just bugs out when dealing with routine stuff. Like a car on the sidewalk being in a "no parking zone" only this time you lose conduct points for ticketing and towing it when thats what you are supposed to do. The $21.39 Highway DLC. Great idea, should have been a base game element and not a pay to play part of the map, but the weigh station stuff is pointless. When doing the weigh station checkpoint call, you will lose conduct points for basically every interaction you have with the truck drivers. Despite them all being the correct actions. But when the bugs got reported, they said "leave a positive review on our DLC and also heres more content we want you to buy that adds absolutely nothing to the game other than a cosmetic for you or your car." They have a discord. They have a special bug report channel. But the bugs from the beta still remain. When they finally fix the bugs, maybe I'll change my review. But until I can have one shift where a car doesnt stop in place and just continue to spin its tires and rev its engine like its driving, or I don't lose conduct points for simply doing my job, or it stops giving my calls OUTSIDE my duty area, the game deserves the negative review. Not even to mention the fact that they give you a gun and 0 reason to have it. There are no situations where you need to even have a gun except the felony stops to order someone out of the car, but even then, kind of useless. I have 45 rounds and no reason to shoot. Might as well be Britain PD and not Brighton PD. Lets do what we did with helldivers. Negative review bomb this game until they finally fix some bugs.
