Pocky & Rocky Reshrined Review (Play_More_KOF)

The spritework is really fantastic. I love the music, and each character really makes you play the game in a different way. They're all fun though Hotaru has my heart. Accessing co-op is a little obtuse, but there is a cheat code to unlock it immediately if you're trying to jump right in with a friend.
The game is hard, but very fair. I never feel like I'm dying because the game decided to end me. lol. Failures stack and game overs are generally the result of not being mindful enough when approaching problems. Definitely pays to have some old school sensibilities when jumping into the game, but I have both seen the game over screen on the first stage and completed the game on normal without continues over the last 48 hours so it's not impossible to go from being terrible to sitting on the leaderboard.
Definitely pick this one up. Arguably the best $30 I've spent this year and may very well be my GOTY to be honest. I'm a bit smitten.
