Planet Zoo: Tropical Pack Review (Lil Kit)
TL;DR:
Overall, I find that the biggest selling point for this pack is the scenery more than anything else. While the animals are nice and we do get some more nature items, I feel most people will probably get more mileage from the versatile scenery options. You do get the Fossa as the reward statue for the career scenario. I would probably price this pack personally at $7.99 because the scenery is really where this pack shines, and we get a looot of useful scenery items.
Animals & Habitat:
The animals in this pack are pretty unique and my favorite is the Asian Water Monitor. Sadly, none of these animals are guest interactive in any way, so that does mean this won't showcase different guest mechanics. We also don't get any new enrichment items either to work with. We do get a new walk-through exhibit animal, but otherwise the animals aren't really something I'm truly invested in.
Scenery:
I actually really like the scenery of this pack not only because it's what I work with, but it is also quite versatile in other builds than just Indonesia. This definitely focuses more on a wooden, brick, or temple aesthetic, but most of the items can have their colors changed and there is quite a few diverse items to pick from. I also like the Indonesia prefabs actually as they look pretty nice!
Nature:
While we do get some new plants, I personally don't like the ones they give us, especially the pitcher plant. I love pitcher plants in real life, but this plant isn't fun to try and place somewhere without a bit more effort. The pitcher part is separate from the plant leaves and so whenever I bring it in, I have to figure out how to make the leaves and pitcher look normal or blend in. The wall ferns are actually nice accent plants that can work indoors or outdoors.
