Pinball M: Duke Nukem's Big Shot Pinball Review (c5)
Am I really so desperate for a new Duke Nukem game that i bought a pinball table mostly comprised of recycled assets from at least a decade, but mostly two decades ago? To the point that the model for Duke himself has been run through the wringer so many times and so many different engines that his hair rendering is visibly broken?
The answer is yes.
And it does do a pretty good job translating the iconic Duke-isms and Duke 3D moments into a fun pinball table with some nice minigames. The FPS minigame reminds me of that time Clint Basinger tried playing Doom with a pinball controller so it all comes full circle in the end. The audio quality's a bit all over, I imagine from being sourced from different games, but while I do have my issues with the audiovisual aspect here and there the gameplay is fun and the atmosphere still feels like you're back in Duke's world.
Randy please give us a real Duke game though, this is good but we all want it.
