Pinball FX: My Little Pony Pinball Review (Jambon Emmental)
Thought i'd try something cheerful and colourful for a change and this delivers on both counts. Overall, I'd say it was very enjoyable with only a few minor niggles.
Positives:
- Looks great
- Apparently they got (some) of the original voice actors so kudos for that
- For the most part, the individual voice call-outs are quite good
- Getting the game modes is very achievable even for casual pinball fans such as myself
- I won't spoil it but the multiball is fantastic
Negatives:
- The voice call-outs can get a bit repetitive
- Unfortunately they weren't able to get voice actors for all the main characters so you don't get to hear from some of them :-(
- There's one particular line where the voice actor sounds drunk and it's a bit unsettling
- Hitting the villains doesn't feel as satisfying as it perhaps could. The artwork seems a bit small and it's hard to see what they look like.
- This is probably just me being rubbish but to start off with i felt like i kept losing the ball straight after launch. There's something about the left orbit that means the ball loves to fly off it and find is way into the gap between the flippers so I really had to be on my guard right off the bat.
Like I say though, overall this was good, wholesome fun.
