Pinball FX: Borderlands - Vault Hunter Pinball Review (Ominous Osie [FireBall])
I am a big fan lifelong fan of the Borderlands series. I played the first game on release and have gotten 100% trophies on every one, including the 2 tales of the borderlands games.
So its no understatement to say that I am a prime target for this table... But I cannot honestly recommend it.
This table contains one completely unique feature, in the 4 enemies right in front of the flippers that can be killed - and the chests looted behind them, to eventually earn a better gun.
While this technically means this is a DLC worth experiencing if you want to try everything virtual pinball has too offer - I really don't think this feature is worth it. Its quite frustrating, the enemies are very close to the flippers, which makes this table feel deceptively small as a whole. And due to the angles you'll be hitting the enemies, a ball drain right down the centre is very common. With the enemies being so close to the flippers there is very little room to nudge save your ball.
And as I alluded too, if you aren't a big fan of this feature - there isn't much on the rest of the table to do. The ramps are somewhat hard to hit, and there are only a couple targets once you are on the top half of the play field.
Overall this table is frustratingly boring. If I were to make a couple suggestions, I'd have kills earn XP - and levelling up raise your damage. That way it will become easier naturally to kill the enemies and use the looted boxes as ramps to access the rest of the play field!
I'd skip this one unless maybe its on a deep discount.
