PGA Tour 2K25 Review (TheReaper)
PGA 2K25 is a solid step forward for golf gaming, offering realistic gameplay, beautiful course design, and a satisfying swing mechanic that rewards precision and patience. I really enjoy how immersive the game feels, and when it's working properly, it's a blast to play.
Unfortunately, the experience is often derailed by frequent crashes — sometimes after just one hole — which seriously kills the momentum and makes it hard to stay invested. It’s frustrating, especially when you're deep into a round or trying to grind for progress.
Progression also feels a bit gated. Unless you're playing on a higher difficulty (which not everyone wants to do), or you invest in the Clubhouse Pass, earning VC to upgrade your golfer is a grind. It creates a bit of a pay-to-progress vibe, which is disappointing in a game that already has a premium price tag.
If the stability issues get patched and the progression system gets rebalanced, PGA 2K25 could be a top-tier sports sim. Right now, it’s a great game stuck behind some rough execution.
