Persona 5 Tactica Review (AllaprimaC)

I finished it in a little over 3 hours, it had a nice story but the ending left a bit to be desired. The maps all share one central mechanic, and it's an incredibly fun one. The floor can be painted with the color of your team or the enemy team, this happens through destroying paint barrels or by a unit simply being damaged. When someone is standing on their own color, they have light cover even if they're out in the open. If a unit is standing on the opposing color, they're fully vulnerable and ready to be 1-more'd. I wouldn't say this adds a lot of depth to the game, but I would certainly say it provides a very compelling alternate play-style to the normal game.
The maps are also very well laid out, in my opinion, though sometimes they felt a little similar. There are 4 new bosses, and I wouldn't say any of them are really all that interesting, they can be taken out by just nuking them. I played on merciless, and I only had one game over the entire playthrough of the DLC, and it was due to a time-limit being hit. It's certainly on the easy side. I haven't gotten around to the additions it gives to the main game yet, as I'm only a few hours into that, so I could get the dlc characters in my game asap.
I'm uncertain if I'd say it's worth the $20, I certainly enjoyed the experience far more than the issues I had with it, but that's a third of the price of the game for 3 hours of story and 2 new characters. I would absolutely recommend it for $10 or maybe even $15, if it ever goes on sale.
