Payday 2: Buluc's Mansion Heist Review (Josh Hutcherson)

I was surprised how much I didn't like this heist. I'm going to put it bluntly: I shouldn't have to understand the Spanish language to do the heist efficiently. Yes there's a decoder on the wall but I still shouldn't have to pull out a pen and paper to understand a stupid obtuse door lock. I don't care if it "adds to the immersion" it forces me to stop shooting cops to draw numbers beside my Steam screenshots.
The door lock could probably be fixed with mods or just general heist experience but it doesn't stop the other problems with this heist. Scarface Mansion this is not is all I can say. The loot is scattered all over the place, not to mention that said loot is generally low on the value table (primarily being cocaine with some assault rifles scattered around.) The map design is rather poor. The hallways feel way too tight unlike Scarface Mansion. And it is incredibly easy to get lost in Buluc's Mansion, unlike Scarface's which is mostly straight hallways that lead exactly where you need to go.
One complement in this heist's favor is that the visual design is absolutely top notch. They really captured the feel of a grand Mexican manor owned by a cartel boss. But good map visuals doesn't mean shit when the map plays like ass.
Scarface's Mansion is probably the heist I have played the most; I am always eager to give that heist another shot. I got sick of Buluc's Mansion after one job.
