Oxygen Not Included: Spaced Out! Review (Blue Box Revan)
I really REALLY wanted to like this DLC but it has so many issues. On the surface, it looks and place fantastically well. But there is so many things wrong with it. So little information to teach you the new game mechanics. Absolute nightmare of a alternate starting asteroids to choose from that plunge your Dups straight into hell the moment to start the game... (really? Polluted air and water INSIDE the printing pod starting area? Have you LOST YOUR MINDS?)
But my biggest gripe is the RESEARCH stations. My GOD what is wrong with this DLC. I deftly weaved in and out getting everything you need to use these Research stations but NOPE the Dups WILL NOT use them. Radbolts?!
I made those.... but nothing but depleted Uraniam was the result and sick Dups cause you need Rad Bolts just to research Radiation protection. Go figure.
There is so much to love about this DLC but it seriously needs to be worked on a heck of a lot more. There is missing information on new DLC content coming up as an error, and the new Research tree beyond using the first two stations is completely useless...
I have no choice but to turn this DLC off until these issues can be adressed. There is already talk of a "DLC 2 but not really a DLC 2" when Spaced Out has so many issues that needs to be adressed. You guys REALLY need to focus on making it more clear on how this DLC is meant to be played, and how research has been revamped. Cause right now, I can't do jack all to progress in the game cause the information I need to understand the mechanics are just NOT there...
God I love this game, and I love this DLC but jeez... how the heck do you actually use this thing? The instructions are just simply to vague and worthless in game to understand what your supposed to do. God knows, I tried trial and error. That was a dismal fail.
