Ori and the Will of the Wisps Review (Tharaman-Thar)
When I first entered the gaming world this game is the second game I played so I'll try to briefly explain my thoughts on this game for everyone new to this world.
For those who want a short answer without further ado: Ori and the Will of the Wisps is an epic game!!
Detailed Review:
Story and Atmosphere:
From the very beginning, the game captivates you with its heartwarming atmosphere and endearing characters. You immediately feel connected to the story as you embark on a journey to help the adorable main character, who has lost their friend, reunite their family. As the main storyline unfolds, you'll encounter various side stories and characters that are equally intriguing. The colorful and lively world creates an atmosphere that transports you from your everyday life. Throughout the game, you'll explore different ecosystems and adapt to diverse environments.
Gameplay:
As you progress through the story, you'll experience evolving gameplay with new abilities that are suitable for both the main storyline and the bosses in side stories. The overall gameplay and combat mechanics are smooth and fast-paced, thanks to the agile and quick character you control. While you may appear small and powerless at times, remember that you can deliver heavy blows when necessary. Although some platform elements may pose a challenge at times, solving them will be satisfying.
Difficulty (10 points: very difficult, 1 point: very easy):
Certain sections of the game, particularly the platform elements, can be quite challenging, but overcoming them will push you to explore the limits of your swift and agile character. 7/10
Normal enemies may pose a challenge initially, but once you learn their mechanics, they won't stand a chance against you. 5/10
Bosses, one of the highlights of the game, offer unique and creative battle patterns in different ecosystems, sometimes providing considerable challenges. However, defeating them brings satisfying surprises. 7/10
Overall difficulty: 6.5/10
Soundtrack:
The game's soundtrack is incredibly well-crafted and greatly enhances your immersion in the game world. I even enjoy listening to it while studying or drawing.
