Orcs Must Die! 2 Review (Shadow)
Robot Entertainment hates the players.
I can't recommend buying this because of the company behind it. If you already have it OMD2 is a fun game worth playing but if you don't already own it I suggest waiting for a heavily discounted sale because they completely ruin part of the game for no good cause.
If you download any workshop content your progress gets reset and you lose total access to saving until you remove all mods. This means if you try any workshop content you lose everything and can only progress from the start during a single session, then have to start over every time you close the game. Nothing ever gets saved while running any workshop content. After uninstalling the mods, your previous unmodded save files won't return. I've never seen a game do this before and thought I was experiencing a bug at first but after reading forum posts and community posts it turns out this is actually intentional. This is unacceptable in my opinion and has prevented me from buying OMD3. This should be fixed but since it has been going on for around 10 years with no fix let's be real, it'll never happen and Robot Entertainment doesn't care.
This is a top tier game tainted by terrible developers in an anti-consumer/freedom way. Mods are supported but they went out of their way to effectively sabotage the game if you use mods.
