Octopath Traveler II Review (Azore)
Although the original game had a few areas that were a bit lacking, for example, the dialogue, story, super repetitive and inevitably tedious gameplay, it was definitely one of my favorite games I have played in recent years. This sequel improves from the negative aspects from the first game and the combat is WAYYY more fun and visually appealing compared to the first.
The music slaps just as much as the first game's OST, characters are great, and the voice acting is phenomenal.
Now, this element is very minor compared to everything else, I do like that it actually feels that the 8 protagonist characters connect with one another. The first game didn't really feel that way outside of the occasional "travel banter" that would appear when playing through each character's story. But this game improves on that aspect too, and it's a nice touch.
Overall, the game is a major improvement from the first, and I certainly recommend it!
