Not For Broadcast: Bits of Your Life Review (Strawblaze)
Bits Of Your Life provides much more bang for the buck than Live & Spooky did and overall proves to be a much more enjoyable experience. There are over 6 musical scenes, most of the routes feature relevant world building, Dave breaking the 4th wall is a cool idea and there's the fair amount of craziness you'd look forward to.
That said, checking out all endings without a guide is still heavily based on trial and error, and other than the ad skip feature, there's no way to fast forward through parts you've already watched. This time, however, this isn't as much of a pain as it was on Live & Spooky because there's far more variation in between the main scenes, and Dave's Excellent Notes let you know right off the bat when you should Retry From Checkpoint.
Either way, it's hard to ignore that by this point, the gameplay part of the experience has gone stale, to a point no gimmick or quality of life feature is enough to help it. This makes me a bit afraid The Timeloop will feel sloggy — but Bits Of Your Life, especially in comparison to Live & Spooky, is worth your attention.
