Northgard: Vordr, Clan of the Owl Review (Marn)
A fun support clan that brings another unique playstyle to Northgard
This review is for mode only (the only mode I play).
This clan plays completely differently from all other released clans so far in Northgard. Owl clan can do things that no other clan can do like where you can mine from tiles that you don't own on the complete other side of the map. You can purchase and place buffs / debuffs directly on allied / enemy tiles.
You can literally influence the expansion path of other clans by devaluing tiles in their planned expansion path by sucking out materials from it before they reach it.
Conquest Bonuses:
1) 9 of your lores become mobile and can be moved to different zones (once you're done mining a zone, move it to the next!)
2) You can recruit more than 3 scouts and they no longer count against your population.
3) You can recruit all 3 warchiefs at once (instead of having just 1 warchief out at a time)
The first bonus saves you a lot of lore because you can reuse most of your lore purchases instead of having them locked to a single zone. The second bonus is really nice because scouts don't take up food and can produce more lore for you, so for the first third of a match, you just convert every single female villager into a scout and it makes your production skyrocket. The third bonus is awesome because most players stick to a single warchief and this bonus helps you appreciate better what the other 2 can bring to the table.
