New Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja Review (RunningWild)
The Good - I love Joe and Mac. These two hip Caveman Ninjas were my childhood.
The Bad - No Options (Text Language and Keyboard is All You Get, no Video, no Audio, no Pad Config options), Audio Is Super Low and drowned out, Audio Design is absolute shit, the arcade and console versions had such great sound effects and music compared to the extremely generic stuff they got here and the music remixes ain't doing it for me.
Hit Detection feels really awful in particular compared to the arcade version, it is mega jank. Also for $30, ya think they could've included something like the Super Nintendo versions campaign with it's levels and new gameplay features, because honestly I always felt this was one of the rare few games where the console version just straight blows the arcade out of the water. You got an Extend Mode with extended stages, but it's just giving you more of a worse experience.
The Ugly - The character design. Just completely lacks the charm of the original. The bosses don't look (or sound) anywhere near as menacing, Stage 2's Boss particularly looks horrible, it's not Audrey anymore!
