Neon White Review (hobo)
At a casual level, this game is incredibly fun and I'd highly recommend this to anyone interested in going fast and shooting demons. There's an active community filled with many people willing to help with anything you might need whether it be routes or modding.
However, at a high level there's a lot of aspects of this game that ruin my enjoyment personally, e.g tricks that are dependant on FPS and are made much easier with third-party software, an extremely precise tech that can be used as free timesave on almost any level (self bullet boosting), hardware dependent boosts that are practically RNG, etc.
I understand that these won't affect most people and can be avoided, however I feel like it's worth mentioning since people who grind for high global ranks may have to do some of these unfun tricks.
I do highly recommend this game but playing at a high level is not frequently fun to me anymore, and it's unlikely that the devs have any motivation to improve some of the lesser aspects of this game (there's an unintended mechanic that was never fixed so the community had to make a mod to fix it). In an ideal world the devs could make DLC for the game and/or improve some of the less fun aspects, but it's incredibly unlikely and there isn't much reason to. Great game but i don't see it having much longevity competitively.
