Needy Streamer Overload Review (Teie)
I'm sorry, but this is a pretty obvious cash grab targeted at people who played the original game.
Look, what the decription does NOT tell you is that there are TWO games in one.
First - an exceptionally terrible typing game. Never have I ever thought a TYPING game could be this bad. Well, it IS.
1) Horrible pacing when introducing words
2) Inablity to actually READ the definition of the word when you're typing. You're given WAY TOO LITTLE TIME between a definition appearing on the screen and a new word being introduced
3) Imbanaced difficulty based on RNG where one word gives you just enough time to type it normally and then the next second the game throws some complete non-sense that has 3-4 words in it and gives you almost no time to even process what you need to type - boom, the timing window for that whole sentence was just as small as for one word. Is that a joke? If it is, it's a bad one.
4) My biggest problem with the TYPING game though - what is being shown by KAngel (what she spells) what you're supposed to type DOES NOT MATCH 90% OF THE TIME. Hear me out, the game doesn't use any spacing between words so when you're told to type 'she likes me fr' you have to actually type 'shelikesmefr'. Not only is that hard to follow visually, but is against the way I type every day. I'm not an 'avid SPACE user' or 'SPACE connoisseur', but d*mn, that feels wrong. Playing this game goes against the way I type normally and I don't really see a point breaking a habit that is essental to typing in general
Secondly - there is an extra game when you complete all the three typing stages. A platformer that is, believe it or not, semi-decent and should have been chosen as the main spin-off game instead of this typing abomination. Given some time, a little more budget and love I could easily see it become a good game. But as it is - it's EXTREMELY short and too easy. What a shame.
P.S DO NOT BUY THIS.
I get that people want to support the developer of the original. Just buy more copies of the original game for your friends instead of this slop. There was very little love / effort behind this game. The whole combo of these 2 wanna-be-games can be completed in less than an hour. LESS THAN AN HOUR ON YOUR FIRST PLAYTHROUGH without much effort.
This is sad.
