Also I suck at 2d platformers lol, not that this is a 2d platformer, this is a typing game, that was just a reference to DougDoug lol
Anyways, yeah, kinda plays like a fan game, I recommend Petit Game Collection Vol 1 over this just because of how peak the mini visual novel is in that game, and I'm sure most people engaging with these bonus games are people who played NSO/NGO and love the story and character, so you'll get to see more of Ame by playing that

The other game in this game is basically a direct upgrade of Don't Die KAngel in terms of fun lil combat game
So if you like retro/arcade style games, here's one with Ame!

Anyways, on to get some typing practice, cause I need it apparently
Also, they have yet to implement the escape key as a menu, or any way to access a menu in these games, which is a little annoying, cause it's a little hard to save, pause, or walk away. And sometimes the game gets really laggy for some reason, turning stuff into a bit of a slideshow. Same thing happened while playing the visual novel in Petit Game Collection Vol1, resulting in Ame's text coming in really slow like she was high or something
Not that Ame would ever be high
Anyways
These little games continue to be a little bit janky, and clunky, and short
But you know what? It's kinda charming in a way for the games to be a bit of an unoptimised mess that need a little real life finagling to get through (like restarting the game to reset the lag)
It makes em feel like actual retro games that were built for hardware that doesn't exist anymore and some random nerd went and tried to get it to run on modern machines for no reason other than personal desire to play the game again
And perhaps it's a metaphor for life. Life won't give you everything on a silver platter, sometimes you'll have to *make* things work

Perhaps these little games are janky on purpose
A way to get the nerds who love this series to truly have to get out of their comfort zone and play something that *doesn't* just work, in a way that isn't just reprogrammed "lags" in a visual novel, or whatever, as a form of meta commentary
Probably not, but that's how I choose to look at it. I appreciate that these games exist at all, WSS doesn't have to make these for us, and I cannot thank the devs enough. But I also appreciate the slightly janky state these games are in, it gives them a weird sort of charm that fits the series..
