Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Review (NinjaAssassin660)
Was at the 50% mark for a completionist run-through of this game, but I forgot 1 crucial thing. This Storm game does not auto-save like all the rest after it. And guess what, my game crashed right at the Tsunade arc. So yea, I'm a little pissed. Save your games people.
Anyway, for the game itself, its a good game. Well good as in good enough for the time it came out. If you want a good Naruto Storm experience, play #2 or #4. Those are pretty solid, full of fun things to do and plenty of story. This game's camera work is awful compared to nowadays. Most of the missions in this one is either running up a tree or chasing someone's dog against a time limit. Not really exciting. And the combat you do get to play is not challenging in the least. More of just stun-locking the computer or pulling off the same broken combos. And good luck trying to pull off a substitution if the computer magically pulls out a hit.
So, like I said, good game for back in the day. Without this game we wouldn't have got the rest of the Storm series. And that's exactly what this game is, a predecessor game, ugly clunky mechanics and all. Hell, the only reason I'm playing it right now is too sate my inner completionist. But after my save fuck-up (yes even though I'm mad about it, its still my fuck-up), I think I'll pull the trigger and let it die (or suffer through it some other day that I'm bored). Imma go back to playing NUNS4 and be thankful for technology advancements.
P.S - Seriously, it only took me 4 hrs to get to 50% completion and I was messing around. It ain't as good as you're remembering it to be.
