Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution Review (Ronin)

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM Revolution – The Worst Fighting Game I’ve Ever Played!

Switching from a classic 2D fighting style (left-right vectors) to a fully 3D arena with chaotic 3v3 and free-for-all battles is an absolute disaster!
Characters get lost, the camera fails to track your fighter, and combo attacks become impossible due to poor hit detection. Using the environment in fights feels like pure randomness rather than a tactical mechanic.
Terrible Level Design
One of the worst level designs I’ve ever seen in a fighting game!
- Locations feel empty and poorly structured for navigation.
- The island map is ridiculously confusing.
- Konoha has unclear transitions and excessive loading screens between locations.
- The Tournament Island is a maze of tunnels, narrow corridors, and closed spaces where the camera struggles to find a proper angle.
Conclusion
The Naruto universe is well-established in the anime and manga, meaning developers only had to faithfully adapt the existing world.
Instead, they delivered a messy, unbalanced, and frustrating experience!
My experience with Naruto games is not vast, but even playing a Naruto fighting game on PSP back in 2008 felt more refined. Instead of progress, this game feels like a downgrade!
The idea of an open-world Hidden Leaf Village was great—I wanted to explore it freely—but the execution makes the game feel unfinished.
A 2014 Game That Feels Like a 2007 PlayStation 2 Title!
❌ Poor optimization
❌ Constant loading screens
❌ Awful level design
❌ Graphics on a PS2 level
❌ Combat feels like a chaotic button-mashing brawl
❌ An empty and lifeless world
❌ Clunky reward, combat, and ranking systems
Final Rating: 3/10. A complete disappointment!
