Disclaimer: If you're a newcomer to the series, you probably will have a blast in story modes. If your goal is to have fun, stick with missions, adventure and Hidden Leaf Attack (in the Online Menu) and play with friends if possible, if you touch any person that barely understands the game Online you will be bullied.
0 - Price
If you're thinking about buying the game at full price, don't do it. Search online for Steam Key Codes. Eneba and G 2 A have game unlocking keys for 5-10$/€
1 - Story
Story mode is fine. Good representation of the anime. Watch the cutscenes and don't skip a lot for most value of your time spent in this mode.
2 - Adventure
Adventure mode seems a little rushed since there are no voicelines of the characters vocalizing the text bubble, but again, there never was any care put into walking around the map and interacting with other characters whether canon or not, they will always say "Hmph" "Hai" "Oooh" "Hm?" "Hah". Disappointing Mode gameplay-wise but represents the characters' stories fairly accurately, though through a boring process.
3 - Road To Boruto
Road To Boruto Story is lackluster, just average walking around the map, barely has cool cutscenes and it's the same text bubble problem as adventure. You can finish this gamemode in about 1 hour as a decently skilled player. If you're new you might have a blast and push through the losses.
4 - Online
Online gameplay can be quite disappointing if you're new since the only useful tutorials you'll find are from Youtubers that have been consistently playing the game and found tricks and ways to play the game optimally. If you're starting and play as if it was Storm 1 or Storm 2, you will have a hard time. There are lots of ragequitters, people that abuse bugs and glitches to win and plain out cheaters.
If you really want to learn the game and become a decent player or even achieve top level of gameplay, your best bet is to join the UNS discord as there are lots of people that can aid your improvement.
If you stick to only learning the game by playing it online you are hindering your own progress. If you're just playing for fun then you will be bullied unless you learn other tricks. It's a bipolar community so just take your time and don't be discouraged.

5 - Overall Opinion
Better as a discounted game due to its age and lack of decently sized player base. Not worth the full price for just Story Mode and Adventure. Get everything on discount or Steam Key websites or just avoid it altogether.
Online = Bullying if you don't know what you're doing or what's happening.
Worth the experience as a newcomer, story-telling-wise.
Worth the buy as an aspiring competitive player if you've had any past experience with other Storm games due to UNS Community Discord server being very active and setting up training matches.
Bad side of the community IS REALLY BAD, avoid it at all costs.
Remain positive or neutral, joining the dark side won't help grow this game in the long run.
