Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Review (Juggernaut)

I'm going to be straight up honest with you, and say this game is pretty fun. I'm a Naruto fan, and a long time fighting game lover, so of course I'm going to love STORM 4, but instead of making this review telling you how much I love it, I'll attempt to be as unbias as possible and label the good and bad.
First of all, you should know playing this will spoil the Naruto Anime/Manga if you haven't watched/read either one, as it very well tells you the story from the point Naruto breaks Tobi's mask, to the very end of the series. Does that mean you should play the other STORM's? Or go finish the Anime and Manga? Well, it's all a matter of preference, because really, the game did spoil a LOT, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it! I think I enjoyed it more than actually watching the Anime.
Next, you should know STORM 4 now focuses more on slideshows. If you played or watched the previous STORM games, you'd know that it was all cinematic 3D cut scenes, while STORM 4 relies more on slideshows from the Anime. It was obviously a lazy move, and I very much prefer the animated cutscenes MUCH more. Not to say it doesn't have those cool 3D animated scenes, just not nearly as much as anybody would like.
If you also haven't heard already, this is their last Naruto game, (Or just their last STORM game, not exactly sure) meaning there won't be anymore. Feel like picking up a Naruto game? This is the best choice hands down.
However, the game has a lot of negative aspects to it, which some do tend to annoy me.
The support characters from the previous STORM games are not included in here, which to me, is yet another lazy move. Online connections haven't changed much, they removed still haven't added back wall combat, and the game in gameplay wise isn't much different from past STORM games.
The game graphically, however, has a lot of nice animations and particles that make it look like a 3D anime, which I quite like.

These are just a select few I screenshotted for fun, but I promise you there are many more good ones out there.

OK, here's a list of a whole bunch of features STORM 4 has, that its predecessors doesn't.

60 FPS
Leader switching; allows you in the middle of a fight, or even a combo to almost instantly switch your leader, allowing you to make a ton of cool new combos.
Armor destruction, which is one of my personal favorite features, as once your character is damaged at a certain extent, it will have a physical appearance on your clothes.
Attribute damage, this means water jutsu's are more effective while you're on water, and fire attacks will keep burning you until you extinguish yourself.
An amazingly bigger character roster.
Flashy new sound effects.
No longer the ability to flick into awakened mode, meaning that OP flick awakeners like TenTen are no longer a problem.
Completely incredible new particle effects.
Amazing modding community.
Beautiful team ultimate jutsu's, which are basically a special ultimate attack that depending on the team you have, unleashes a beautiful attack, just like this!

However, there's still some things that annoy me, no matter how much I love this game.

Such as:
Wall running being only available in story mode, while it was an actual feature in STORM 1.
Not being able to play in awakened mode from the start of a battle, which again, was doable in STORM 1.
More Anime cut scenes than actual cinematic's.
No rage quitting penalty.
A somewhat toxic community.

Some things that might annoy you (but haven't for me)

No support characters from STORM 3 and Revolution (Rip Anko)
Overpowered Uchiha's

For my final verdict:

The game is a fantastic way to end the series, with a bunch of new features and characters, with a story that in my eyes, makes for a great STORM game. I simply love the Naruto series and universe, and love the game even more so.

I give the game a 7/10.
