My Time at Sandrock: Love Chronicles Review (Marshie Marshmallow)
The characters in this DLC all already had a lot of content, whether that was through a lot of story presence, a lot of sidequests, or both. These characters had plenty in the base game but fans wanted more. So they said "please, Pathea, give us more content and we'll pay for it." So then Pathea said "bet" and made a paid DLC with even more content for these characters that, again, all had a ton of content in the base game. And now fans are complaining that they're being asked to give up $5 for this optional content that amounts to hours upon hours of dev work and voice acting. The developers are not greedy or selfish for being asked to be paid for their work. The fans demanding free stuff are.
And with that said, let's talk about the actual DLC shall we?
Love Chronicles features four romanceable characters: Logan, Fang, Nia, and Mi-an. Each one gets a new romance quest, new romantic interactions, and you get "Memories". Memories are short quests that can be started at will at any time. Doing a Memory while friends with the character will just result in a short conversation, while doing it on Lovers or higher will have some extra content. Each Memory (8 in all, 2 for each character) features a new CG that will be saved to your Story Photos, as well as a short written story that you can read at any time.
All of this content is fully voice-acted, including appearances by other characters. You also gain the ability to hear any of their voice lines at any time through the Social tab and you can also take Logan's hat off.
Overall, I'd definitely say it's worth it if you're planning to romance any of the four characters involved. It's skippable if you romance anyone else, though.
