My Friend Pedro Review (kuro_neko)
Over All: Fun game with flaws: 7/10
Gameplay:
The parkour mechanics are great, *chef's kiss* , a very well design platformer. (except for Pedro's world's levels)
However, the gun play while combine with parkour is a great idea and implemented well in this game, but it could have some improvements.
The worst part about the gun play is that the time to kill the enemies varies even if using the same gun on the same enemy so its brings you out of the flow while trying to enjoy the platforming aspect of the game.
(It could be better, if you have a high enough score multiplier, the bullets should just one tap the enemies so its more of a race to keep the multiplier on, instead of worrying about shooting the enemies enough times)
Music/Sounds:
Nice choice of music. It brings you pumping for the chase in the game. The sound design is heavy enough to feel the impact of the parkour and bullets.
Art:
Visual clarity is very clean and clear while having a distinct neo noir art style that is not sacrificed by the amount of info that the players need to perform parkour in the game. A+
Story:
Not Needed but Present, Rating: Good Enough. Surface story is basic but if you want to know more about the actual story of the setting it requires you to make a deep dive into its lore.
