MultiVersus Review (karatekevin2007)
they add characters in free updates.
they add skins in free updates.
they add stages in free updates.
they make balance patches in free updates.
they add battle passes and more incentives to spend money in free updates.
the game is available and relatively bug-free on all current platforms.
the graphics and sound are all very presentable, finely tuned, carefully crafted, and, i would say, finished.
after the game has been live for nearly a full year, they turn around and say "we're closing the open beta now" as if pretending this is still a game in its developing stages. as if what it is right now, is not a completed product. as if they couldn't just add whatever "big update" they're planning, when it's done, and keep the game running, as they have with every previous update since launch.
you're really just going to take the game out of every player's hands for no discernible reason? what about players like myself, who spent $40 on your founder's edition? what about players who bought all your microtransactions? why'd you leave all of this on the table and ready to be purchased for so long if you weren't going to keep the thing running as intended?
player first, my ass. i regret drinking the koolaid. i reap what i have sown: a scam wearing tom and jerry's faces.
and for the record, that $40 pass didn't even let me buy the 1 harley quinn skin i wanted, so it felt like a waste on the first day. i mean. really? how expensive is changing one character's appearance?
