To reiterate what others have already said, this is mainly a multiplayer game, as the singleplayer options are rather lackluster. But don't let that dismay you. While some say, that the playercount is low, there are still a few servers for most of the gamemodes, which are manged by a dedicated community. Just sort by playercount in the server browser to sort out the empty servers. My personal favorite modes are commander battle, in which each player commands a company of bots together with other commanders with their companys againt a team of enemy commanders and their bots (It feels like a round of total war, where each player just controls 1 army unit) and bot survival, which is an unofficial mode made entirely by the community, in which one has to survive as a team against hordes of bots (The most fun is to be had, when an admin is on, as he can modify the battle conditions making it more interesting). If somebody is interested in these modes I recommend ther servers EU_Commander and BBG_Botsurvival. But even for standart multiplayer there are still populated servers especially for Siege battles.
