Moss Review (renegadespork)

It's 6 years later and this is still one of the best VR games available. This is partly because the VR industry has had trouble maintaining momentum, but it's also because the game is a timeless adventure with great execution.
Story: The story is simple, but fun. If you loved the Redwall books as a kid, this may take you back to that happy place. It even begins with you in a library and magically teleporting inside the book. Moss tells a straight forward story of "Adventurer sets off to save person from big baddy and acquires skills from magical beings and trials along the way". It ends on a bit of a cliff-hangar, but there is a sequel if you want more.
Gameplay: This is so well executed, it made me really hopeful for VR back in 2018. It feels like controlling a little diorama of characters while you stick your head inside the box and look around. It's perfect for those who get motion sickness from VR since there is 0 artificial locomotion of the player. The combat mechanics are varied enough to stay interesting, but not too complex.
Visuals and Sound: The art style, models, textures, animations, music, voice acting, and level design are all superb. No notes.
This is a must-play if you have VR. It's not too long, but every moment is polished and enjoyable.
